This piece of writing you see is about my achievements for this past year of school.
First I will write about the books I have read and enjoyed this year. I have read the whole "Dear Canada" series twice. They are about different girls who have Diarys fulled of exciting and sometimes scary things that happen in their lives,These girls lived in around the 18 hundreds!
The "Bailey School kids" series is one series I like a lot! It's about four kids who always get stuck in mysteries,
( a tiny bit like Scooby Doo ).
I have also read "Holes", "The lion The Witch and The Wardrobe", and lots of other books that I don't have space to list.
The next thing I will write about is my improvements in story writing. I have made miraculous improvements in story writing , which you can see on this e-portfolio.
The things I have improved upon is my spelling, structures on my stories. (How I have Beginnings, Middles, and Ends, conflicts, and conclusions).
Topic #3 Is my improvements compared to last years spelling tests. Once again I have made miraculous improvements in my spelling. Today in a spelling test I got 20 out of 20, and compared to last years spelling that is a marvellous recovery.
The last thing I'm writing about is my plan for next year. I will like to improve even more in every thing that I have done this year. My goal is to become a A+ student.

School was alot stricter and you did lot more memory learning.
#2. How was technology different compared to this century?
We used slide rulers because we didn't have calculators or computers.
#3. What did you play at school?
We played Bullrush ( which is sumilur to British Bulldog)
we also played rugby and soccer.
#4. What happened if you didn't get homework done?
You could get sent home , sent out of school and a letter to your parents.
#5. what was your favourite chant at school?
It was the potato song. Eg-1 potato 2 potato 3 potato 4! and so on.
#6. Was the work in those days harder than the days in school
now?
It was so different that you can't really compare them.
#7. Did you have any spirit days? Eg- Sens day?
Yes we had Mufti day which is the only day we got to wear jeans.
#8. Did you celebrate holidays at school?
Yes , we celebrated Easter, Waitangi Day ( which is New Zealand day) and Christmas.
#9. what was the most popular transportation to get to school?
Walking and biking ( very few cars)
#10. How was the dress coat different from now-a-days?
No one wore shoes in Primary School much, and in high school
we wore dark pants and light blue shirts.
#11. Was the class separated by genders?
No
#12. What punishments would you get if you got in trouble?
You would get the cane or the strap or detention OR expulsion.

The Best day in my life started with a package in the mail box for me. I toor it open and looked at the wrapping paper covering the presant.
The presant felt heavy , chunky but some how soft.
I ripped of the wrapping papper and found it was a
book called " Dates, double dates , and big , BIG TROUBLE."
It was part of the Allys World series. I had read the 1st one and loved it! so I ran upstairs to read this one.
Once I was upstairs I got dressed in my P.J.'s and jumped in my bed with the book. I opened the book and started to read.
I am still reading it, and it's getting better bit by bit.

Hi my name is Jordyn and I am here to talk to you about todays weather for today.Todays weather is raining spagetti and a light chance of a tornado made with meatballs and sauce. The sun looks Beutiful and it's a lovely day for a picnic so grab your plates and have a lovely day! When you've been best friends with someone for a long time you know that they care, they like you as a best friend and who you are, they should always tell the truth and not keep secrets of there friends that can hurt them. Thats how I started my Best ever friendship in my life! By following these rules.
I met my best friend at the age of 4 and we are still friends now! I first met her at my Aunts church we were sitting beside each other and then we strangley began our friendship.
When I was 7 years old we were aloud to go to each others house for sleepovers and we both help each other with our chores.
THEN.....When I was 8 I moved to Canada and had to leave her behind.
We are still very good friends and I can't wait to see her again.

Junkyard Jonny is an amazing most wonderful man who goes around
places picking up garbage. He makes all our old,used,dirty garbage into the most extraordinary ,amazing things! Out of these things he makes MUSIC!!!!!!!
The music that Junkyard Jonny makes is a mix between Rap,Rock,Pop.
He doesn't really use lyric in his songs apart from REDUCE , REUSE , RECYCLE , ROCK.
The best part of his music is when Junkyard Jonny gets kids from the adiences
to come play music with him and HIS insterments!! IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!

The WORST Cold to Ever Strike the EARTH!
We all learn in science about the human body, and in that you learn about colds. Some find it boring, others find it fun, and you BETTER find it fun because..... If you don't pay attention you won't ever now how to cure a cold! Just like a boy in this world who never EVER used a tissue, he wiped his nose with his hands and NEVER washed them!
When he got theAchoocoughsneezepinkunderwear cold and he didn't know how to cure it. This is what happened to him.
He was walking home from school it was -56 outside ! He was tired,miserable,and VERY cold. Then out of nowhere the Achoocoughsneezepinkunderwear cold started to hit him. That poor boy didn't no it at first, and just went on with life.
At school he could not stop sneezing! When his teacher called attendance he answered with " pres.ACHOO...ent" When he was reading to the class he couldn't stop it ether! Every body laughed at him. ( he turned bright pink! )
Soon he left for home.
2 DAYS LATER.......
The boy was warm in his bed with a bucket beside him. ( just in case ) When suddenly his Mom came in the room with hot chicken soup and a cup of hot chocolate. " Sweet pea" said his mother " Why have you not been going to school?"
"well Mom" the boy said "I have A REALLY BAD COLD!"
" tell me about it", "Well I have a really bad stomach ache and a head ache , I've been sick in my bucket 10 times! I have the coughs and sneezes and just to top it of I HAVE PINK UNDERWEAR!!!!" He shouted " It sounds to me like the ACHOOSNEEZECOUGHPINKUNDERWEAR COLD!!!!!!! , you poor boy" Said his mother.
He slugged in his bed making the floor creek. He sighed the loudest sigh you have ever heard! He was VERY miserable.
Just then his Grandpa entered the room with a present to the poor boy.
" What is it?" said the boy. "It's a book to read." said his Grandpa
" The book's called the princes bride." Hay I saw the movie I won't to read it right NOW!!!! , Thank you. " said the boy.
6 DAYS LATER
The boy was up and jumping it seemed the book had cured him?
The only thing that stayed the same was his pink underwear witch he never let anyone see!

My Dream Vacation started out with my family winning the lottery. One hundred thousand dollers was in our bare hands! We were all chating and talking of what we should do with it. SUDDENLY my Dad shouted (out of nowere) " TO DISNEY LAND! " But no one else wanted to go . We wanted to go back home to New Zealand were we could have a real vacation.
1 month later
We all agreed to go to NewZealand. There We went swimming, hiking,horse back riding. We roasted marshmallows and sausages. And we built tree houses.
Then we went to my Aunts farm. There we had an amazing time feeding calfs, horses,dogs,cats. We helped around the farm as much as we could. We smelled freash air and hay, I love that smell . It was truely the best vacation ever.
(If you're wondering about the money we used it to fly to New Zealand.)

On December, Friday the 19th a man called Dave Devoe
Came to Manordale Public School. He was going to do a one man show on the subject of Bullying. And this is some information about it.
Dave Devoes play took place in a gym witch in the play was a lunchroom or classroom.
His base was three chairs that he walked,climed and jumped over.
The Fat Kid played by Dave Devoe was being bullied and was afraid of the rooms door, he was afraid of the door because if he went out that door his feet would carry him outside , in the yard, To the bully and then he would cry and end up right were he was on the three chairs.
The clothing Dave Devoe choose was interesting...
It was Overalls with a green and white striped shirt, It stayed that way all the way though the play.
The Voicing he used were done by him himself He did a high pitch voice for the mother, a normal voice for the Edger (the star of the show ) and a older boy voice for Martin, Edgers old friend who was bullying him.
2. Yes I believe that when he changed characters he really DID change charters.
3.I LOVED THE PLAY! It was amazing ,It was realistic, emotional, and the message was NOT TO BULLY OTHERS!!

Mrs Biggs [ a teacher ] decided to make a HUNTED HOUSE at Manordale P.S. [ my scholl ] BUT berfor she letted us in she told us a story About a house that was right under this Building, She said it got BURNED and lady in it too. BUT people say the lady is still alive! Then she let us in.
The air was thick, The noises were scrary and unplesant.
and that scred me! Just to let you know I'm NOT a brave person!
[ I am a corward ] I got frightend And thought '' This is enough!''
I left the room. I started to cry wishing I was not such a corward.
I waited for the rest of the class to come out and we went back to class for a normal rest of the day.
I was sitting in my chair, listening to the chalk screech , as my teacher Mrs Jilks was writing out our To-Do-List on the board.
The noise of the chalk rang louder and Louder and LOUDER in my ears.
We were all bored and also tired and the only thing that made us wide awake was the news of a SUPPLY TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was coming to our class!!
As soon as i heard her footsteeps I frooze with fear. But when she came in to my surprize she was a REALLY nice teacher! And I wasnted her to stay FOREVER!! BUt then she was called down to the Meeting

Halloween!
Everything was in a BIG rush! All I heard was DO this no do that!
It was 4:30 the turkey was sizzling and hot!
The guests for dinner will be hear soon.The guests are friends from church.
Everything was in Autumn colours! the table had a purple napkins with glued on leaves and we had a table divider,The divider was two twigs with leaves we wrote on,
the leaves had things written on them like ' I am greatful for a home a family and so on.' I had forgotten about the guests then they suddenly arrived!!
I was to look after their children. a ten month old baby and a two year old girl.
It was really really hard!!!!I I went to the table and got them some turkey,potatoes,
veggiges,and sparkling grape juice. I can still taste it.

I know a girl whos best friend is a vacum cleaner!Any way my best friend is a teddy!!! whos name is Teddy!!She has a little bow on her head and is quite old!Her furr is old and Raggy, She smells like pine.Shes been with me since I was Born.I Love her!! I wont leave her EVER!!

But now that I'm older I would like to sew my own dresses and hats,I would also like to live with my Aunt and help her around the farm like before,I remember the adventures we had!! They were great! There is one more thing i like to do and that is ROLLER BLADDING! Now that we have been in school for 21 days I feel relaxed and normal about my classes and teachers. at first Math and Squirt seemed interesting, but noweverything in grade five is either weird or interesting!!!my hardest subect is French because I come from an other country and learning a newlanguage is quite hard,My teacher in that class is Mr.Gangon, Usually in that class we doHand outs and at the moment we are learning French pizza! [ yummy! ]my easiest subject is math because I love math its fun!My teacher in that class is Mrs Jilts.She's the most coolest Teacher ever! she's different [ mahahahaha ]I think school is a great way to become as smart of smarter as an adult.Witch reminds me this year I have learned of different Intelligencesfor example I am a Visual learner witch means if you say dog when Ihave my eyes closed I can see a dog!
